Boonkoon Studio Handicraft is located in Bangkok, the modern and colorful capital city of Thailand, not many people ever know a small group of weavers in Klongsamwa district, in the suburb of Bangkok. The weavers are conserving the traditional hand weaving style on handlooms since their grandparent time.
The group leader is continuing the career of our grandparent who was one of the Chinese migrants from Mainland China and settled their future in the Kingdom of Thailand since WW I. They started the weaving in the Muslim Village named Ban Krua where Mr.Jim Thompson at that time developed the famous Thai Silk weaving in that villlage. The grandmother of the leader was one of the weaver of the group, and passing to second and now the third generation.
Our silk products are woven from our care and considerate in all details and weaving process to assure that all pieces of their silk are unique and usable in all occasions. The silk products from Boonkoon Studio Handicraft are always a perfect choice for a valuable souvenir.
